Training log: 689/10000, is
there a lot or little
training?
We never intended Áron to be a top athlete, so we initially included little training in his schedule. But as soon as we realised how talented he was and how much he enjoyed the sport, we increased the amount of training to the level of training camps. Obviously, there is less time for training outside of school, but we make sure that he can train for an average of 2 hours a day. Luckily we have the opportunity to make a mini stickhandling and shooting bench room in the garage, which is a great help in regular practice. The equipment is a bit shabby, but at least it’s motivating! 🙂
As a father who was never a professional sportsman, let alone a professional hockey player, I spent hundreds of hours reading as much international hockey and sports literature as possible. This collection of useful links and exercises might help you too. If you have suggestions, feel free to send them in.
